What Causes A Red Hole In The Soft Palate?

I have a small red hole in the roof Of my mouth, it is about 1mm long and it tingles/burns when I touch it with my tongue, I've had it a few days now and it doesn't seem to be getting better or disappearing and I'm wondering what it is and whether or not it is serious enough to go to the doctors about?

hello thanks for the consult,,
it could be normal anatomical part called fovea palatini which is red hole like in the junction between hard and soft palate,,

either ways do salt water gargle thrice daily,, drink warm water,, if problem persists for long ,, check for any infected teeth of back region which might result in draining sinus??

plz consult a oral physician for the check up and treatment,,hope it helps,,take care..
