What Causes A Recurrent Scab On The Nose?

Hello, I have a tiny recurring scab on my nose. Sometimes it is dry and flaky and sometimes it bleeds when I wash/dry my face if I m not extra crateful. It stars as a red spot and then becomes flaky or scabs. At first I though it was a pimple, but it keeps reappearing in the exact spot and seems different than a pimple. I m going to make an appointment to get a referral for dermatology, but should I request a rush appointment? After researching, it seems it may be a sign of skin cancer. Thank you!

As per your query you have symptoms of recurrent scab on the nose which is most probable due to fungal infection. It could be due to excessive exposure to sunlight, excessive sweating and humid environment which leads to condition known as tinea versicolor. I would suggest you to protect your skin from sun exposure. Apply turmeric paste as it will give beneficial effects mix with honey and aloe vera. Use anti fungal cream containing clotrimazole. Apply it twice a day . If symptoms persists for more then a week or get worse consult dermatologist ,so that doctor can evaluate properly to rule out other conditions and may prescribe you oral antifungal or topical steroids. Wash your face twice a day with mild soap.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
