A week a ago I stepped on a nail and the next day (Sunday, November 27th) I visited a Walgreens walk in clinic. They gave me a tetanus shot and a prescription for a generic Bactrim. I have taken two pills a day for the last 6 days and one this morning. Today I have a red blotching rash on my face, ears, neck and torso. It almost feels like a sunburn and is itchy. It is not raised and does t hurt, but it s causing discomfort. I wanted to know if this is caused from the antibiotic or if other things can cause it. I also had swollen glands in my neck that started about Thursday night. I can breathe fine and just was thinking it was due to being tired. I haven t been able to sleep that well as my leg muscles and joints were hurting. I figured this was from walking funny since for about 3 days I couldn t put any pressure on my foot. I did also use muscle rub and a heating pad in this time, but not in the areas that have the rash.
