What Causes A Paranoid Sensation After Smoking Pot?
hi, i went to amsterdam the other day. after i smoked some pot, i hear voices and my brain rushes and thinks lots of things and they come back to me in voices, it feels like evryone is watching me and talking about me. i get paranoid, find it hard to show my face in public and get paranoid by public. it is horrible. i love weed so why is this happening. it happens all the time when i smoke since couple years ago. how can it stop?
Pot consists of Cannabis. Cannabis is a substance of abuse and it is known to cause psychosis in some susceptible individuals. It can precipitate acute transient psychotic disorder (ATPD). The symptoms like hearing voices, rushing brain, rapid racing thoughts, paranoid thinking, referential ideas etc could be occurring due to psychosis. I would advise you to avoid smoking pot again because this may lead to development of psychosis in future. If symptoms persist then consult a psychiatrist.
Medicines like Haloperidol, Olanzapine etc can be used to reduce such symptoms and will result in improvement. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription.
Thanks, hope this helps you.
