What Causes A Painful Spot At The Site Of A Hernia Repair Surgery?

Hi I had a hernia repair done a week ago.i had ended up with 3 repairs in the center of my stomach. Where my spleen was removed. My stomach staring hurting pretty bad to night and as I felt it I have a spot the size of a grapefruit that is like a have a hard rock there. Is this normal?

Hi,

As you had undergone a surgery a week ago, this should be a common thing, but rather ignoring it, its better to have a visit to the surgeon who operated it. Usually, at times it is the hardness of the muscles and the sutures.

Which takes some time to go away. But to just make your mind clear you can visit the surgeon and get it checked if any other diagnosis he can make with the physical examination. Its better to be alert, conscious and safe rather just leaving this matter into illusion.
