Hi..

If the mole was present previously and was asymptomatic with sudden appearrence of pain then Yes, you need to get it checked by a skin specialist..

A mole is generally painless but any change in its shape, size, appearrence of tenderness or pain, or discharge need top be immediately evaluated.

In case if it appeared all of a sudden then probably it is not a mole, however a clinical check is a must to confirm the diagnosis..

For now do cool compresses over it and apply antiseptic ointment.
Take a painkiller if pain is too annoying..
However getting checked once is a must.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
