What Causes A Painful Lump On Left Side Of Groin?

On the left side of my groin where my leg and groin meet there is a lump about the size of my fingertip and the area around it is sore and if you press down on it, it kinda hurts. The lump is not on top of the skin but kind of deep down. What could this be

I really appreciate your concern, in most of the cases such swelling could be due to lymph node only, and second possibility is it could be lipoma condition need to be kept under observation for any changes for any changes and if it is something like that then it may needs clinical examinations and investigations, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
