hi my 6 year old daughter has had this lump on the back of her neck for about a week ?? and shes complaining about pain every now and then, its very sensitive when you touch it i am going to book her into the doctors tomorrow but should i be worried or would you have any clue to what it maybe ? its located at the back of her neck, at the bottom of her left ear maybe 2cm down from her left ear.. it feels like an internal thing going on as i cant see any heads on the top on the lump if that makes sense ??
Hi.. Welcome to HCM.. Is there any fever? It could be a bacterial infection of the subcutaneous tissue.. You can apply some antibiotic ointment over that area and can do warm compresses for apin.. Let the pediatrician see her and decide whether there is any other problem. Take care..
Regards..
