What Causes A Lump Underneath The Skin Of The Thigh?

Today I found a lump on my inner thigh. It wasn t discolored and there wasn t a head on it. I felt it and there was a ball underneath my skin about the size of a silver dollar. It just felt like a heat rash more than anything but no heat coming off of it. I squeezed it pretty tight and clear liquid and blood shot out. I got everything I could out until it was nothing but blood. I ve had Cellulitis before, but this doesn t look like it. I could be wrong. I need to know if this is serious enough to see a doctor.

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

based from your description, it could be a cystic formation. if it is bothering you, increasing in size, or gets infected, it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon for physical examination and clinical evaluation. diagnostics will be requested as needed. definitive management is excision of the cystic lesion.

hope this helps.

good day!!
