Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there. For about a month or so I noticed a slight hardened lump under the skin of my labia minora on the top left side. It was painless however for about a few days now it causes slight pain and discomfort when touched. Today I noticed that it was bleeding but very little. Maybe about a rice grain amount of blood came out(even less maybe). Please give me advice as to how I should go about this ? Should I be worried? Do I need to get a biopsy?
Cysts are more likely to cause pain when they get infected. Vaginal cysts can become infected by the normal bacteria found on the skin or by a sexually transmitted infection. Infected vaginal cysts can form an abscess -- a pus-filled lump that can be very painful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
