The doctor who examined you might have commented so as it might have been a benign swelling. If I were your doctor and I found a swelling/lump in your head, I would advise you for a FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) to know the nearest diagnosis, and treat it accordingly. However, I would also advise you not to be scared of such benign lesions. Further management would depend on the physical examination and related investigation reports. Till then you could go for an anti inflammatory drug and a proton pump inhibitor drug for a symptomatic relief.
