What Causes A Lump On The Cheek After An Injury?

My son fell a few weeks ago and had a dark bruise. Now the bruise is gone but he has an indent in his cheek that looks like a large dimple. There is a small hard lump when you touch it. He doesn t complain of pain. Should I get this checked out? Is it permanent?

take x-ray to exclude fracture. apply cold compression. it will regress and become normal.it can not be permanent since hematoma is self limiting and slowlyabsorved anddisintigrate and absorbed. get examined by surgeon for local examination and advise on treatment. if requered the small hard lunpcan be surgically removed.can apply thrombophob ointment and need not be rubbed.
