What Causes A Lump Like Feeling In The Throat?

It feels like a lump in my throat and like I have to burp, but can t. Feels like trapped air from my stomach thru my chest and in my throat. It feels like l m going to burp, like a burp is coming, then it stops. Feels like a massive ball of air moving up and down . what is it and what can I do ? This has gone on for 2 days now and feeling nausea. Please help

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that according to your symptoms, what you are suffering from is GERD or Acid Reflux Disease. Due t reccurant acid reflux, it sometimes causes ulcers in your food pipe leading to sensations of lump in throat.

Thus, I would suggest that you should take a 15 day course of a tablet like Drego-D or Omez-D. Avoid having spicy foods or foods inducing vomiting. You will be fine in no time. But if the problem still persist, then you should visit your attending physician to determine the cause by internal examination with Endoscopy.
