Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM virtual Clinic.
I studied your query in all the details put forth by you.
I understood your health concerns.
Cause of the health problems you queried-
There are many causes of the lump in toe. With the limited information, there is bit confusion about the heel lump?which is not clear from your query.
The tennis ball size lump behind your toe, seems to be with lot of infection and
cellulitis around, from the data given from you.
And it seems that this lump is for 1 year almost.
Cause in your case-
So Don't treat it on your own as it could be-
Paronychia with
Granuloma of the great toe/ or it could be Ingrowing Nail(Onychocryptosis with
Pyoderma with Granuoma)/ or could be benign or malignant tumr due to chronicity of infected growth in the toe.
Hence would advise you to consult ER Surgeon , who would rule out other causes of such a lump and would help you out with the fist hand information.
So take his
Second Opinion, on the above suggestion,as he would advise you with fist hand clinical information.
Remedy-
So till the time you consult ER Ortho Surgeon and get his definitive opinion after above investigations,DON'T WORRY AT ALL but you need to be concerned as it would complicate into some other problem associated with it.
In the mean while,
Daily dressings to keep the lump clean.
Take Anti-inflammatory drugs from your family doctor
And act fast on the above suggestions, which helps you to plan treatment with your ER Surgeon.
Hope this would resolve your query with full satisfaction.
Welcome for any further query in this regard to ME by direct question at HCM.
