I suffer from hypothyroidism however I feel a lump in my throat when I swallow, which is constant. I have occasional pain at the bank of my throat and sometime pain to my ear. I feel it is connected to my throid as the recent test showed my t4 was not right.......
Yes , it is possible that the thyroid may be enlarged due to your hypothyroidism , which is causing the feeling of lump in your throat. However pain will not be there and presence of pain may indicate a swelling on the back of your throat. please meet your ent doctor , he will do an endoscopy on you to asses the throat and guide you further.
Thanks
