I have a red lump on the right side of my lower back just above the level of the pelvis. What could this be? It has been there a couple of months and causes no pain except when sitting in a car seat for long periods of time, when it is pushed very hard or when it is knocked

HI.This is most probably a sebaceous cyst or a lipoma.
Get a consultation with the Surgeon to confirm and it is always better to get this operated for two reasons.
One - the disease is removed
Two- you get the perfect diagnosis.
