What Causes A Low WBC Count While On Aspirin, Rifampin And Doxycycline?
I have a history of liver cirrhosis with chronic low white blood cell count and low platelets. I am taking now aspirin 325 mg twice a day and rifampin and doxycycline for a hip joint infection. My last WBC was 1.5 and platelets 51. Can the aspirin or antibiotic worsen those counts? No signs of bleeding. No history of varices

What Causes A Low WBC Count While On Aspirin, Rifampin And Doxycycline?
Hi, It is not related to Aspirin. Do a repeat count after one week. Include more fruits and vegetables in the diet. If the count is persistently low, you have to consult a physician and go for a peripheral smear. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
