What Causes A Huge Boil In Groin?

My daughter has a huge boil in her groin. She went to the ER. They opened it but it closed up before she got home. It is the size of a golf ball. I told her to sit in hot water. I thought that sounded like it would help it drain. Is that sound advice?

I really appreciate your concern, if it is being opened and nothing found it is means it is being opened little early before it could form the pus not just anti-inflammatory drug and antibiotic would be enough for this, be patience it will be fine here, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
