What Causes A Drop In BP After Exercising?

Hi my blood pressure is usually 148/86 ish, however after 30 mins of exercise on my elliptical trainer it drops to 118/64 for a couple of hours. I do take medication for mild hypertension to control my blood pressure. I also have a healthy diet, -porridge, low sugar , low fat, and low salt. Lots of fruit, vegetables and wholegrain foods.- is my blood pressure dropping too low after this exercise?

Hello,
Welcome to health care magic,

Systolic blood pressure 118 and diastolic pressure 64 is completely normal blood pressure,I do not know why you are much bother about low BP when you have normal blood pressure.

It is quite possible to change our blood pressure especially after heavy workouts.

You should continue your anti-hypertensive medication for your mild HTN as prescribed by your doctor with all dietary measures.

I do not know who told you that you have a low BP issue after doing exercises.

Do not worry,it is normal.Consult your family doctor for further advise.

Regards,
I find this answer helpful
