What Causes A Cyst In The Pancreas And Abdominal Pain?

Hi, i had MRI done for abdomen a year ago and they found small cyst 5mm on my pancreas and doctor said its most likely benign. Doctor said to do follow up MRI in one year. I have 3 more month to go before the MRI but i am experiencing back pain and abdominal pain for past couple of weeks , i am worried if it could be something wrong with my pancreas . Very scared of cancer

Yes my friend from my opinion I believe the cyst in your pancreas has increased in size causing you discomfort and pain. After the 3months elapses please go for a repeat MRI. The likely cause of the cyst is excess alcohol intake and possibly obstruction along the common bile duct
