What Causes A Bump On The Head And Itchy Scalp After Injury?

My 2 year old fell on the back of his head on concrete floor and vomited alot. Later a small bump formed but disappeared. 1 week later a bigger bump devoloped where the small one was(mid back of the head). Did a CT scan but no fracture was seen and doc said he should be fine. But a day later the bump has dissapeared and moved to the side of his head. And he keeps scrathing his scalp. Is all this normal? Am worried. Please advice. Thank you

Critical Care Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

If the scan report is normal and vomiting subsides, then one can relax. As there might be some wounds, that area may be itchy. Apply an antibiotic cream (Soframycin ointment) your baby will be alright soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah
