What Causes A Bump On Head With Taste Of Blood In Mouth Post A Hit?

Hello Dr Rynne. A curtain rod fell on my head about 45 min ago. It was about 3 ft over my head. It s one of those very light retractable ones. There is a small bump, not very painful. Abt ten min ago I had a faint taste of blood in my mouth and the mucous was very light pink. That was it. No more of that. I feel ok, but just wanted to check

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the head injury with bleeding symptoms per mouth then it could be skull fracture and soft tissue injury, condition need to be taken seriously and better to go to ER where it may needed CT of brain and close observation, hope this information helps.
