General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problem you are describing appears that you have an infected sebeceous cyst.
It needs to be drained and removed surgically.
It would be a minor surgical procedure which will be done under local anaesthesia under aseptic precautions.
Following this, you need to take a course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory-analgesic medications. You may also require alternate dressing till the wound heals completely.
It would take about a week to ten days to heal and be back to normal.
Kindly consult Surgeon for evaluation and management.
All the best.
