What Causes UTI And Soreness In The Vagina?

My problem started with a Uti which then left me with a sore vagina so got treated for thrush although swabs taken round entrance came back clear! Had a reaction to thrush cream which made me really sore everywhere then got treated with metronidazole which cleared up internal redness but still sore on the outside. Skin doesn t look red but it still feels very sensitive!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Urinary tract infections require antibiotics and antibiotics , because they affect the normal flora (substances grown in vaginal area), can cause vaginal yeast infections.

The presence of the sensitivity implies that there is still an infection present.

You may want to consider the use of fluconazole medication (used for yeast infections) along with soaks in baking soda.
Soaking would help to heal your discomfort.

This can be done 2 to 3 times a day.

I hope this helps
