What Causes UTI And Loose Stools Despite Taking Urispas And Norflox?

Hi,I had an Urinery tract infection and doctor prescribed to take urimax .4,urispas and norflox 400. I am having loose latrine,3 days after taking the medicine. I have discontinued those after prescribed time. It s already 1 week but still the problem persists. Everyday morning within 4.30am to 5am,I start feeling pressure and its loose latrine only. Rest of the day,I don t have to go or feel any irritation but just negligible pressure and inner belly sounds time to time, spacially after having food. I am also diagnosed with a very small kidney stone , hence having stone 1b6 syrup twice a day and pan d, 1 in morning.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Loose stools could be due to protozoal infection (amebiasis or Giardiasis). In this case antibiotics or antibacterials like Norfloxacin can not work and you need appropriate anti protozoal drugs. A motion examination can confirm the same. Similarly selecting the antibiotics for Urinary tract infection with appropriate culture and sensitivity tets report will cure your problem completely. Your stone problem can precipitate urinary tract infection. Consult a urologist for the same.
