What Causes UTI Along With Chills And Elevated Body Temperature?

i have diabetis and high blood pressure. I take meds for both. All of a sudden I got a uti and I havnt had sex or did anything sexual for a year. Im really confused about that. Im 53 female. I took the AZO pill to help with the uti and it did. Last night after work I was eating and I got the shaking chills which I could not stop. I laid down for about 2 hours and it stopped. After that, I was then extremely hot but no temperature. My entire body was super hot. My stomach became a little quesy I hope that you can help with some type of diagnostic. Julie
