General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the tread mill test does not require blocked arteries to show up positive results. In the condition, where oxygenation of heart tissue as myocardium is compromised from various reasons, the stress test or tread mill test show up abnormality.

In absence of blocked arteries:
@ Conduction abnormalities
@ Vascular ischemic changes
@ Electrolyte imabalance issues
@ Vasospastic or variant angina
are also few reasons for the atypical test. Kindly discuss the issue with your cardiologist for further guidelines of cure and the diagnosis responsible for the issue.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
