What Causes PAT After Ingesting Energy Drinks?

About 8 years ago, i was diagnosed with PAT, but noticed the only 3 times it occured, it all came after drinking Mountain Dew. I drink coffee, so I don t suspect the caffeine. Instead, I suspect the dye or something else in the drink. Obviously, my cardiologist had me stop drinking mountain dew, or any other energy type drink. And I ve had no recurrences. However, I m still curious...have others had this issue, and do they/you think it could be the dyes used in the drink?
