Hi doctor my ESR is 30 I get worried to avoid future problems I want to control itif yoga can help me in any way? I am taking medicine I have shoulder degeneration of rotator cuff l 4 and l 5 disc displacement problem as well as cervical problem how can I get rid of them thanks
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. You are having bone and joint problems so it is likely to have increased ESR. So it will be normal once you inflammation in your joints resolves. Furthermore, you have not mentioned your age and gender. ESR normal values varies according to different age group and gender. In male below 50 years of age, normal value for ESR is up to 15 mm/hr. Above 50 years, it is up to 20 mm/hr. In female, below 50 year value is 20 mm/hr and for above 50 age group it is up to 30 mm/hr. There is no scientific evidence of decreasing ESR by Yoga.
