What Causes COPD And Dark Yellow Phlegm?
Hi I m a 46 year old woman that has never smoked anything in my life. Ive been round people that smoke but hardly in their present. I got sick and ended up in the hospital and was informed that I have COPD in January of this year. I had a very bad case of phenomena x s 2. Every since this I ve had a lot of mucus come up which is very thick, dark yellow and light green. Is this something I have to worry about? I have moments when it hurts to breath deep also. Please help me....

Sorry to hear about your condition. Well, COPD is never a cause due to smoking only. Smoking is just an aggravating factor and not the actual cause. Now since you been diagnosed with COPD I will advise you to buy a nebulizer machine at home itself which is very cheap and handy for which you don't need to visit the clinic often. Buy the Asthalin/Duolin/Budecort drug which will be in liquid form and 3 ml in a quantity which is also cheap. You can use at home whenever you face this mucus issue. It's a bronchodilator and will help the condition to improve. Post this I will advise you to focus on strengthening the muscles of respiration as this has to do a lot on the COPD cases. Most cases ignore the importance of breathing exercises and use only drugs which make them in trouble in the later stages of life.
