What Causes ADHD?

My son was diagnosed with ADHD 3 years ago and during our reevaluation this summer the neuro recommended an EEG to rule out any seizures. He had a 45 minute one in the doctors office and all came back fine and then had a 48 hour one and results came back with some abnormality during sleep. He is having an MRI to check for nocturnal seizures and to check structure to see what may cause the abnormality. What are examples of structure problems if he had any

Any Psychiatric diagnosis is made after medical or neurological causes are ruled out.
If seizure or other organic cause is found ,treatment of that is the primary importance
ADHD =cause : multifactorial -- Genetic,antenatal /birth/post natal insult ....
