Currently waiting to consult psychiatrist tomorrow before taking Crestor. Diagnosed with severe and chronic depressive anxiety syndrome. On no medication. My question is I have had an involuntary twitching of the forehead for the past several weeks. I put it down to anxiety and stress but should I be concerned about any possible link with my high cholesterol? Also, I did not do a liver test before being prescribed Crestor. I have noticed that my urine is frothy. Could this indicate a liver problem? (I currently have a cold, and I have had frequent colds and sore throats over the past few months. I also have bouts of urinary frequency and I am scheduled to see a urologist.)Thanks in advance, M.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the involuntary twitching is more in concern with underlying stress and anxiety provoking muscle contractions particularly that of forehead muscles. The frequency of urination is seemingly related to certain anti-depressant drugs used to control the depressive symptoms.

However, as the urologist appointment is fixed, he or she will be more sound way to go for additional evaluation of possible urinary infection, altered blood sugar or else. If after consultation, any of the report interpretation is required, please let me know to assist you further.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
