What Cause Stomach Pain With Bloating?

My father in law is 82 and recently began having stomach pain. He describes a bloating feeling and gets some relief by belching. It occurs randomly and not just after eating. You can tell he is uncomfortable because he stops and sits until it easy up.

Dear- thanks for using HCM and I understand your concern about your father-in-law. As we get older, the digestion becomes slower and there is more gas production. It is advisable to eat more frequent but less amount of food, which keeps the intestines moving and decrease the possibility of bloating. He should avoid food as broccoli, cauliflower and lettuce that will produce more gas. Drinking at least 32 onz of water will keep his body and intestines hydrated and that will help too. He feels relieve after belching because he is eliminating the extra gas in his body.
I hope that my advise has been helpful
