Hi, last knight my son who is 14 and 5 foot 9 180lbs had to be extracted from our home via ambulance because he woke up and went to turn off his fan and when he did that he felt a snap in both legs just above the knees. He laid there for 4 hours before one of us heard him crying out in pain like when someone breaks both legs. Earlier in the day he was complaining of a migraine and had a temp of 102. when we came to his aid we found his skin was just boiling hot like after you get out of the shower. We were unable to touch him due to the pain I could not even carry him out of the house it was so bad. When we got to the ER his legs started to relieve? and the doctor treated him for fever and and migraine and we went home. He has slept since but Im wondering if this may have had somthing to do with the migraine, he has had a history of migraines. Thanks
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your son, in febrile state particularly in viral infection lower limb pain with weakness is very common and this could remain there for couple of days, with the proper management this comes around, this may not be due to the migraine, hope this information helps.
