General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Bad pain in the left side of your chest at the point of breaking out in sweat are suggestive of possible:
- colitis pain (distended colon puts pressure on the diaphragm and chest)
- hyperacidity issues of the stomach
- spondyloarthrosis
- costochondral problems

Cardiac check is first recommended to rule out heart problems:
- ECG
- echocardiogram
- stress test

Then, chest X-ray and abdominal ultrasound to evaluate the respective problems.

For the moment, I advise to take an oral pain killer to ease the pain. If this works, then, the pain is muscular-skeletal.

If the pain will continue, then, immediate cardiac check up should be run.
Meanwhile, try to measure your blood pressure and sugar levels at the moment of pain, record the results for future references.

Wish fast recovery.
