What Can Cause White Specks And Itching On The Scalp?
I found a white circular spec in my hair, and I am afraid it is a lice egg. Many websites say they cannot be white, and some say they can be. I sometimes have an itchy scalp and it now feels tingly as well. Did I find an egg or could it be something else?

It may be seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Apply mild steroid with salicylic acid lotion on the scalp daily at night. Do shampoo with ketoconazole containing shampoo. Take fluconazole and antihistaminics like cetirizine tablet.
