What Can Cause Strange Fluttering In Chest After An Ant Bite?

I am having pain in my upper left arm, came on suddenly several hours ago. When complaining about pain, noticed a bite on my arm. I had brushed something away earlier, thought it was an ant in our kitchen. Pain has not subsided, and bite has not really gotten worse looking. After this happened, hour later felt strange fluttering in left side of chest. Am I freaking out, or is this caused by insect bite?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Yes, it may be due to insect bite.
When ever any insect bites, it releases some fluid in the skin layers and cutaneous vessels.
And this fluid immediately causes inflammatory reaction at local site. So it becomes red, swollen and itchy. This is local reaction to the fluid. But after sometimes when fluid absorbed in the blood and reach the systematic circulation it can cause tachycardia (rapid beating of heart), which can give you feeling of fluttering in chest. So better to take antihistamine and anti allergic drug. If not improving in 1 day than get done ECG.
