Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. Such type of unilateral headache involving right eye could be
Migraine
I am going to describe it and you can correlate your features. As you have mentioned in your history, Migraine is similar to that. It occurs around eyes, ear and involve head, causes
blurred vision, watering and
redness in eyes. It is also associated with
vomiting, aura sptoms before pain like bad smell/taste/
tingling, can radiate same side neck/arm. It occurs in episodes and during particular season.
Your most features resemble it. Still you should
consult neurologist to rule out
cervical spondylitis and any mass lesion in brain. They can also present like that. The doctor will examine you and advise CT head and MRI
cervical spine.
Treatment of Migraine is non surgical.
It is treated by
Preventive therapy to prevent attack
; avoid mental stress, bright light, direct sun light, food which precipitates attack like chocolate/cheese.
; You can take tablet Pregabaline/Propranolol/Amitriptyline/Gabapentine after proper prescription.
Abortive therapy is given to abort pain attack
; Tablet Ergotamine/Sumatriptan/Opioid pain killer like pantazocin can be taken after prescription
; Botox injection to stop attack for at least 3 months.
You can discuss all these options with doctor and start treatment.
If still in doubt, ask another question.
Thanks. Take care
