What Can Cause Pricking Pain In The Nipples Of A 57-year-old Lady?
My wife is 57 and woke up this morning with pain in one of her nipples, she stated that it has bother her all day with pin like sensations. She had a breast reduction 14 years ago and has had open heart by pass surgery. She is now with her Mother who just had open heart surgery on Friday. It is only one nipple.

Pin-pricking like sensation usually indicates an issues with the vascular system in the region, probably a mildly effected nerve from the surgery being effected by scar tissue or so on. I would recommend a visit to her operating surgeon for an elaborate evaluation, but this is nothing serious to worry about, yet for her comfort a doctors visit will be required.
