What Can Cause False Positive In Drug Test For Benzo?

hi i recently had a clinical eval. for my probation and i take ambient for insomnia , and adapex for diet but was positive for benzo I m concerned cause that all i take now but recently had surgery and was given tylenol w/codine , would any of this cause a false drug test positive for benzo

Thanks for writing in.

Codeine is an oipoid medicine and might cause false collateral drug test. It is important to know details of the benzo test and at what level there is a cut off. When there is such a situation, it is suggested that you inform testing authorities about your need to take tylenol and codeine at prescribed doses and when the last dose has been taken before the test.

Many people are on prescription medicines when getting tested and if informed earlier then due consideration is given and there is no ambiguity about false positive test. Please do not worry.
