What Can Cause Facial Muscle Twitches?

Hello. I am 24 years old female, 5 feet 7 inches, weighing 68 Kg. For two weeks I ve been having unilateral facial muscle twitches, particularly the right depressor anguli oris. It worries me because lately, approximately 3 weeks, I ve been using this cheap lipstick which may possibly contain high levels of lead, and I m wondering if these twitches I ve been having is indeed a sign of lead toxicity?Or is there any other explanation for it?

Hello,

I would not be worried about this. It is very normal, in periods, to have these twitches. However, if you're worried your lipstick contains something that is bad for you. I will advise you to not use it anymore. I doubt, it has something to do with the twitches, though.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
