What Can Cause Brown Spots Around The Ankles While Suffering From Diabetes And Hypertension?

I am 65 yrs old duabetes and hypertension. I developed purburic brown spots ariund the ankle joints and lower third of my legs. The lesions increased when i am wearing socks. Regars

Hello,

Are you still working or retired? Did your job involved constant standing work? Your description of lesion is suggestive of varicose veins. However, without examination I can not make confirm diagnosis. You need to consult surgeon for that. Management of it includes wearing of stocking at night before going to bed. Leg elevation while sleeping. Permanent removal-Chemical or laser ablation of superficial varicose veins.
