What Can Cause An Itchy Feeling After A Brazilian Wax?

I did Brazilian wax on myself and after I felt fine as well as the day after(no itchy feeling ). And I made sure I cleansed after the waxing and sanitized. But the second day I start to have the itchy feeling. I make sure I clean the area with a loofa and exfoliate but it s the 4th day and I still feel itchy down there and it s uncomfortable... What s happening?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
You may be having a beginning of what is called as pseudofolliculitis. It is common in the bikini area where the skin is delicate and the hairs are coarse. As the hairs start growing back, some if them pierce the skin causing ingrowths and itching.
You could continue using a loofah. You may benefit from a cream containing an antibiotic and mild steroid combination like fusidic acid beclomethasone combination.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
