What Can Be The Cyst Like Appearance In The Neck Of Child?

My 3 year old daughter has a large (bigger than an egg) cyst like object on her neck that is hard as a rock. She has been acting normal and the hard item only hurts when you touch it. The peditrician doesnt think it is broncial cyst. Any ideas on what else it could be? Im concerned it may be hodgkins lymphoma. Thank you, Chad

Hi chad,
welcome to HCM.
I have read your question in detail and i know that you are very concerned about your daughter.
Large cyst like object in a 3 year old child could be due to lymphoma, lymphadenitis or a bronchial cyst.
Lymphadenitis is painful while other two conditions are painless.
To rule out lymphoma, you should do complete blood count, and FNAC of the swelling which will confirm the diagnosis.
Review back with all available reports to make more clearer diagnosis.
