What Can Be Done For Allergy And Ringing Sound In Ear?

I had a very bad head cold/allergy and went to my doctor. My symptoms was a draining nose, blocked ears, and the usual feelings during a cold. He prescribed Guaiatussin ac syrup and amox-clav 875 mg. I have noticed that my ears are clear, my noise has resolved itself but I now have a ringing in my right ear that is constant. I have researched the tinnitus possibility. I have noticed that taking taking herbs and eating pineapple may help. What other things can I do to revolve this problem that is a constant annoyance in my life now (over the last week). Thanks for the help.

Cheers,

Jeff

Tinnitus in your case looks to be an extension of the existing problem as the apparatus for hearing is very near the Tympanic membrane ( ear drum) . Please continue taking the same medicines for about a week or advised by your Doctor. Do not blow the nose. Take steam inhalations in addition . Avoid harsh tone noise injury. This may resolve in the coming weeks.
