What Can I Do To Reduce Shoulder Pain That Is Slowly Spreading Towards The Arms?

I ve had a knot in my back near the shoulder blade that s been lasting now for 6 weeks. I also have pain that goes from my shoulder down my arm into my fingers mainly the index finger but also the thumb and middle finger. Most of the time it feels like the muscles are just tired like I ve worked using them for a long time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

I also recommend avoiding movements that can trigger the symptoms.

If the symptoms continue, I suggest consulting a neurologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
