You can use a low calorie diet(1300 -1400) Kcal as your bmi suggest that your obese
As your diabetic and using insulin
you tend to put on weight so watch how much your eating.
consume small meals every 3-4 hours,eat more of whole grain rather than refined cereals.
Avoid simple sugars like juices,beverages , sweets, bakery products which are dense in calories which makes you put on weight and increases your sugar level too.Reduce consumption of oil and fat .
Eat lots of vegetables as they are rich in fibre gives you feeling of fullness and keeps your sugars stable.
Go for regular exercise, like brisk walk or aerobics
Portion sized meals at regular timings are the key factor in reducing weight and maintaining sugars.
