What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Yasmin Pills?
Hi, I recently was put on cerazette a 28 day progesterone only pull for no reason other than my college doctor has something agains Yasmin which I ve been on for 8 years without a problem. I m changing back to Yasmin by my own GP and I m wondering how do I change back from the 28 to 21 day pill cycle? Do I keep taking cerazette until the first day of my next period then start Yasmin straight away? Or can I just start Yasmin immediately? Thank you
The quickest answer is the easiest way to switch. You can switch right away to the same point in the cycle.
Set out both pill packs. If you have taken 7 pills of the cerazette and the next one you are due to take is day number 8, then go the the pill pack of the Yasmin and take pill number 8 of the Yasmin instead of the cerazette today. Throw away the cerazette and take the rest of the pack of Yasmin from day 8 (or whatever day you are on today).
As long as you have not missed any pills, you can safely switch between these two medicines in the middle of the month without losing any effectiveness.
I hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
