Hello, A calcified lung could occur due to various causes like calcified granuloma, Hamartoma, carcinoid, osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, metastasis from distant foci , primary bronchogenic carcinoma, or it can be a calcified lymph node by old non active infection by tuberculosis or histoplasmosis. sometimes coronary artery, pericardium and even aorta can be seen as calcified area may be due to arteriosclerosis. So consult a pulmonologist further investigation and treatment. The will suggest you to undergo through repeat chest x ray pa view, CT scan of chest, echocardiography. Do not worry to much as most of calcified lung lesion are benign in nature. Take care bye.
