ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to health care magic,
I realise that cough can be quite distressing to you especially in your condition. But since strong medications cannot be used you can do these:
-take an anti relfux medication like pantoprazole in consultation with your doctor
-do not speak much and take voice rest
-take only warm fluids and do not take anything cold
-avoid oily and spicy food
-do not lie down immediately after a meal

if you do not get better then you must consult an ENT as soon as possible

regards
